We are proud to announce that Judith Gill QC has been elected as vice president of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) executive body, with effect from Wednesday 1 April 2020.
Judith joined Twenty Essex as an arbitrator member, having previously been a partner at global law firm Allen & Overy for nearly 25 years, where she was head of the international arbitration group for 11 years. She is Immediate Past President of the LCIA, the first woman to be appointed to the position, and the first female solicitor-advocate to be appointed QC with an international arbitration practice. Judith is currently based in Singapore.
She joins five new additions to the ICCA Board and fellow Twenty Essex arbitrator Dr Michael Moser who has been re-elected to the governing board for a second term.
The new governing board will convene at the 2020 ICCA Congress in Edinburgh which has been titled “Arbitration’s Age of Enlightenment?”. To celebrate the occasion, Twenty Essex will be hosting a Champagne afternoon tea on Sunday 10 May.
