New tenants support continuing growth at Twenty Essex

Today we welcome Maria Kennedy and Fiona Petersen as new tenants at Twenty Essex upon successful completion of their pupillage with Chambers.

Before coming to the Bar, Maria qualified as a solicitor-advocate. She spent five years working at a leading international law firm, where she specialised in commercial litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigations.

Fiona served as a judicial assistant with Judge Vajda at the European Court of Justice and has worked at the Law Commission as well devoting a considerable amount of her time as a volunteer with the Free Representation Unit.

In a joint message, Duncan Matthews QC and Stephen Atherton QC, co-Heads of Twenty Essex, commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Maria and Fiona as new tenants to Twenty Essex. Twenty Essex continues to grow across all areas of practice. The two most recent tenants are amongst the nine new practitioners that have joined Chambers within the past year.
